Después de una larga temporada de premios, finalmente se han anunciado los ganadores de los Oscar 2023. Un año después de que el incidente de la bofetada de Will Smith-Chris Rock dominara los Oscar de 2022, una controversia que aún persiste hasta el día de hoy, los Premios de la Academia regresan para honrar a las mejores películas del año pasado. Everything Everywhere All at Once lidera el grupo con 11 nominaciones en total, con All Quiet on the Western Front y The Banshees of Inisherin empatadas en segundo lugar con nueve nominaciones cada una. Los dos mayores éxitos de taquilla del año pasado, Top Gun: Maverick y Avatar: The Way of Water, también están muy bien representados con seis y cuatro nominaciones respectivamente.
